Masku nanosite uvečer, jednom do dvaput tjedno.

Spring has arrived, and like every year, it brought so much needed sunshine and beautifully blossomed flora, whose flowers are increasing each and every day. This means more socializing and staying in the open so it’s a good idea to start with a vitamin face mask that will remove dull winter complexions from our faces.

Vitamins C and E are classic allies in skin care, both inside and out. They have a strong antioxidant effect and help slow down signs of skin aging and also stimulate the formation of hyaluronic acid and collagen.

Vitamin C stimulates the synthesis (formation) of hyaluronic acid in our body, and it aides with the production of collagen in the body as well. On the other hand, vitamin E nourishes and moisturizes, and like vitamin C, it destroys free radicals in the body as well as on the skin.

Bear in mind, this face mask is not for people with sensitive skin. If you feel slight tingling on your face, that’s okay because vitamin C oxidises in the air. Rinse your face with water if you’re experiencing a burning sensation.

1 tablespoon of vitamin C powder

5-6 drops of vitamin E oil – can also be olive oil or even sunflower oil

A little water, still mineral or thermal water

Mix all the ingredients in the bowl, until you get a cream paste texture. As you’re mixing the ingredients,, the mask could foam up. Put it with your fingers on a previously cleansed face, avoiding the eye area and leave it for five to ten minutes to do its magic. Rinse with lukewarm water and then nourish your face with the usual moisturizing care or simply spray with thermal water or alcohol-free toner. Apply the mask in the evening, once or twice a week.

Kako izgledati dobro za putovanja? / How to look good during travel?

Scroll down for English.

Volite putovati? No, ponekad. 😉

Prije svakog putovanja nabavim testere omiljenih prirodnih brendova i ovisi koliko dugo putovanje traje, tijekom puta ću svakako jednom namazati lice kremom i osvježiti ga. No, prije toga savjetujem nježno ga prebrisati prirodnim vlažnim maramicama za osvježenje.

Sretan vam put!

Do you like to travel? I love it. Sometimes it seems to me that the journey is more interesting and more important than the destination itself. Well, sometimes. 😉

What are your secrets for looking and feeling good during and after your trip?

Personally, ever since childhood, I get excited before my trip, and because of that, it would be harder for me to fall asleep, so it is important not to look like a zombie during the journey or worse, after arriving at the destination.

Although, a good night’s sleep is crucial after you arrive at the destination, there are a few more tricks I follow…

Water is, probably, the most important trick. If you travel by plane, you can buy/get water after passing through the airport security. During the flight, the cabin staff regularly walks up and down the aisles offering water. Even if they don’t, you can always go to the galley and ask for a glass of water, cabin crew will gladly help you. Don’t complain about going to the toilet more often for drinking more water. Your skin and body will be healthier and you will have less water retention. If you travel with other traffic, you will have even easier access to water.

Next on my trick list is a sanitizing gel or spray based on alcohol to disinfect hands and surfaces. Surfaces on the airplanes, trains, buses or ships are almost NEVER or rarely washed or disinfected, so it is not bad to disinfect at least your own hands before meals, as well as a table where you will be served food. Choose gels, sprays or disinfectants with alcohol and as little other ingredients as possible. Alcohol is one of very rare disinfectants that will not cause the development of harmful bacteria.

Natural hand cream. Your hands will be dry from all the sanitizing, but also from dry air and you don’t want dry and cracked hands.

Lip balm. It’s essential for pretty lips during and after travel.

Eye drops. Same as for lips, dry air and tiredness on the road can leave you with tired and red  eyes.

Before every trip I get the cosmetic testers of my favorite natural cosmetic brands. Depending on how long the journey lasts, I will occasionally refresh my face with a moisturizer. But before that I suggest gently cleaning your face with natural facial wipes. Even if you don’t feel like going the extra step, mist your face with travel thermal water or with a facial toner.

You can also add, but it’s optional, throat lozenges and flushable toilet wipes.

That’s it. Pack all of these travel cosmetic aids into a transparent and resealable plastic bag and you won’t have any problems with the airport security, as long as each product is within 100 ml.

Have a great and safe trip!
